Handbag of Glory

This is an incredibly cute idea from Edward Monkton:

And according to Bagcrazy, while I don't actually own THE REAL handbag of glory...

"This is a stunning 30cm porosus crocodile Birkin, adorned with 18 karat gold hardware and nearly 10 carats of pavè diamonds. The cost of this sublime creation? A cool $49,999, plus $100 shipping."

I do own its close twin, just much cheaper:

Keyboard Confusion

The wretched Mac keyboards used in my office are subtly different from the regular PC ones. SO subtly different I didn't notice precisely what it was for over a month and was wondering if I was losing the ability to fast type.

Everytime I placed my hands on the keyboard without looking, I'd type complete and utter gibbyerish. Then I'd stare at my hands bewilderedly and wonder WHY this was happening. I look carefully at the keyboard, and it's a QWERTY board, no reason for this. So I align my hands meticulously and type flawlessly. And then the next time I take my hands off the keyboard and replace them without the meticulous alignment.... gibberish happens again.

Then today I discovered THE TRUTH.

Regular PC keyboards have a raised line on the 'f' and 'j' keys on which you place your index fingers. I instinctively aling my index fingers with these lines.

Mac keyboards have the lines on the 'd' and 'k' keys.

"Lunar Silver Star Story"

This is an RPG which I have never played but... I really like one or two songs from it. They're excellent evocative songs, is the best I can say. The main theme "Lunar Boat Song" feels sad and wistful, yet a key change midway through colours some hope into it.

"Wings of Hope" is quite aptly named, heh, because this short little piece gives you the feeling of flying and soaring in the sky by the end of the song. It goes "when everything is pinned on a hope" and has a tension holding key change (7th major I think my theory is rusty) go off on "hope" and ends with "only when two, brilliantly shine, as, one".

Cowgirl Anyone? (also RoSe)

Of course being a bit fed up with my uncool character I went and made a female archer. Focusing entirely on attack enhancing abilities, and all the money being spent on cool looking clothes.

But yeah... damn... sexy cowgirl look... ^_^

When they call the game Rush On Seven Episodes (ROSE) they're not kidding, the levelling system is very fast and rewarding, but I hear there are going to be more than 200 levels your character can obtain. After all, the story spans 7 planets (episodes) and players have already hit level 99 even though only 1 planet is fully completed.

Look it up at www.roseon.com if you are interested.

Rush Of Seven Episodes

ROSE stands for Rush Of Seven Episodes and it's created by the same makers of Ragnarok Online. Graphics are overly bright and cartoonish, like Gunbound, but I really like the look : I'm not really a fan of games that try to achieve realistic graphics anyway. Pictured here is me on the left, and my friend on the right (she's really a she, unlike most of the girls in the game hehe). I'm a trader / craftsman and I use a pistol to hunt : my friend Xany uses a bow. Oh man she looks so much cooler than me.

By the way I am wearing insect wings on my back to help me run faster. My character moves so slowly (is my common gripe in the game : the higher dex classes like the hunters / spellcasters run so quick). The game is free right now : it's in the open beta stage.
