Schnoogle: Cassandra Claire

Cassandra Claire writes Harry Potter fan fic and I ended up quite liking her trilogy. Very nice sense of pacing and timing, and of course plenty of kissing and making out as is wont to be in all these fanfics =p

I really like the way she makes Draco a real person and a foil to Harry instead of being a 2D cardboard bully like Rowling's Draco. I was hoping Rowling would bring out Draco's character a bit by books 4 and 5 (as she's done for Snape) but it doens't seem to have happened in the HP canon. Also, Claire seems to follow Rowling's style of writing and plot structure pretty naturally, aside from the additional sex and violence lah. Also, i'm curious as to where Claire's going with all the questions about the afterlife and Biblical quotations.

my thoughts exactly... well, can't wait for the last episode or two to be released.

Kid brother's review of Half-Blood Prince (he's 16 - the bro, not Harry; well, Harry too): "its pretty good, the best harry potter so far in most cases, but in some ways its really really stupid, so be prepared to have to endure the torture of really sickening love stories"
