What? Turn the other cheek?

Turning the other cheek was always one of those lines from the Bible that was kinda... strange.

Well it just got a whole new meaning. The author could be reading more into it than Jesus meant but nonetheless it makes a whole lot of sense.

Just shows that just not only in science but also in religion should we be unafraid to question why some things are the way they are.

I agree with you. The author has gone into it at really great depths.

But it is a good article. I think Jesus was just telling people to do the right thing. To always be acting in love. Love would let you do all the things he said and it would also mean you would not let someone do something evil as it would ultimately hurt him too.

I guess.

I LOVE MY HIPPIE SOCIALIST KING.

Seriously. Anyone who analyzes the Bible from the secular perspective will agree that Jesus' teachings are very hippie, socialist stuff. His teachings are really kind of ironically, left-leaning. If I were to use that analogy.

I'm on a quest to study the Bible in a secular manner. This is a lot of fun.

Hmmm... :P I used to think that. But you also kinda have to consider Jesus did and said some not so hippie things.

Don't worry Mark, :P shall not start preaching on your blog.
